Rejjie Snow Drops “The Moon & You,” His First Project Since 2013
Alex Anyaegbunam is Rejjie Snow. Born and raised in Dublin, a place, according to the rapper, of “freedom, loyalty and pain”, a football scholarship took him to Atlanta where he soon discovered his love of music and headed straight to L.A. Now back on our side of the Atlantic and the talented young rapper has been drip-feeding us tracks for the past couple of years while supporting the likes of MF Doom, FlyLo, Kendrick Lamar, and Action Bronson.
In January, Rejjie Snow promised fans that he would deliver a new project titled “The Moon & You.” On the 1th7, the Irish rapper dropped the tape, which is streaming below. The 13-track mixtape features Joey Bada$$, and Jesse Boykins III on recent single “Purple Tuesday,” while Los Angeles-based R&B singer Joyce Wrice makes an appearance on “Get It.” Production on the tape comes from Cam O’bi and Benjamin Miller, among others.
“The Moon & You” is Snow’s first project release since his 2013 EP, “Rejovich“, and it precedes the release of his debut studio album, “Dear Annie,” which is due out later this year. The new mixtape also comes with a zine edited by Snow himself. The Dublin-born artist has maintained a consistent output of music throughout 2017, including the politically charged “Crooked Cops,” and “Flexin.”
